WHAT IS PIRSWS?
Partners in Recovery South Western Sydney (PIRSWS) is an Australian Government initiative to better support people with severe and persistent mental illness with complex needs, and their carers and families, by ensuring services and supports from multiple sectors work in a more collaborative, coordinated and integrated way.
PIRSWS covers the local government areas of Bankstown, Fairfield, Liverpool, Campbelltown, Camden, Wollondilly and Wingecarribee.
The initial roll out of PIRSWS in Bankstown, Liverpool, Campbelltown and Camden occurred in 2013, additional areas will be covered from mid 2014.
The lead agency for PIR SWS is One Door Mental Health(http://www.pirsws.com.au/about-us/www.onedoor.org.au) , working in partnership with South Western Sydney PHN (http://www.swsphn.com.au) . In addition, in excess of 20 organisations have committed to working in a consortium to support PIRSWS.
PIRSWS fosters collaboration and integration of services and support across multiple sectors.
